Continued State-Level Excellence (1999)

In 1999, he participated in the Kyokushinkai Kan State Championship in Garia and once again secured first place in Kumite, proving his consistent dominance in the sport.

Versatility Beyond Kyokushin Karate

Kickboxing and JKD Championships

In 2000, Sensei Ajoy competed in his first Kickboxing Championship in Kolkata organized by Sensei Montu Das, securing third place. Later, in 2002, he participated in the JKD National Championship organized by Sifu Biswajit Mondal, becoming the first runner-up. These achievements added to his credibility as a versatile martial artist.

Climbing the Ranks: From Shodan to 4th Dan

Sensei Ajoy passed his Shodan (1st Dan) exam in 2013. In 2014, he joined the Kyokushinkan under Sensei Mihir Bag, where he learned advanced katas and techniques with help from Sensei Sukanta Pramanik.

In 2017, he established the Kolkata Kyokushin Institute to train future generations. That same year, he passed the 2nd Dan exam and later joined the Ishinkan Kyokushin Karate Association (Austria), earning his 2nd and 3rd Dan under Hanshi Ishwar Khatri.

Hosting Prestigious Events

  • Organized the first Kolkata Karate Championship in 2017

  • Launched the first Indo-Nepal Championship (2017–2018)

  • Represented India at the International Sokyokushin Championship in Nepal

  • Hosted the first Oyama Cup in Kolkata in 2018

In 2024, he joined IKO Kyokushinkai under Kancho Nabahi as Indian Branch Chief, where he continues to train fighters and inspire the next generation.
